Position

As our new Corporate and Development Senior Manager, you will work both strategically and hands-on with alumni and corporate fundraising. You will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding alumni and individual donors to support the needs of SSE. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying new corporate partners and deepen our relationships with our current corporate partners. by  The Corporate and Development Senior Manager  will be a part of the Corporate, Development and Alumni Relations team within the External Relations Department at SSE, and work closely with our affiliated company Executive Education, to create opportunities for increased philanthropic support from our stakeholders.

 

The role will report to the Head of Development & Alumni Relations.

Main Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates and implements fundraising activities while leading fundraising staff   (no formal personnel responsibility, but day-to-day coordination and prioritizing is included).
  • Identifies, cultivates, and solicits major gifts from individual, alumni prospects and corporate  partners.
  • Consistently conducts the donor cultivation work and planning necessary to have a robust pipeline of proposals.
  • Writes and edits reports, gift agreements and donor/corporate funding proposals.
  • Attends events and engagements in which assigned prospects are present.
  • Stewards assigned donors and corporate partners through ongoing communications, recognition activities, invitations to key events, and interaction with beneficiaries of their support.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in fundraising, or private sector sales, marketing or related field.
  • Experience from project management, or in another way leading day-to-day work and coordinating a small group of people.
  • Higher education degree preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Swedish.
  • Ability and willingness to travel. Work includes occasional nights and weekends, and travel.
  • Previous experience working with senior level executives.
