Do you want to be part of our journey and work with exciting real estate, construction and organisational projects in one of Europe’s leading business schools? The Stockholm School of Economics is facing exciting challenges and we are now looking for an experienced and purposeful and result orientated project leader who will handle different stakeholders in a professional and confidence-inspiring way.

Our facilities need to be modernised to enable the school to compete in a global environment.  We need to create state of the art learning facilities as well as welcoming and attractive environments. You will manage renovations buildings (i.e. of cultural heritage), complex reparations and new constructions.  In addition, you will work to ensure providing student housing which is part in our strategy to attract international students.

You will be the facilities director’s right-hand person and work on a broad operational as well as strategic scale within the scope of facilities.

About the role

Assignment

As a project leader you will:

  • Work with larger and smaller real estate/construction projects (tenant adjustments, renovations, new constructions etc.),
  • Develop, professionalize and streamline our unit within facilities in close cooperation with the facilities director
  • Work with provision of student housing in close contact with the property manager for student housing
  • Work with providing premises to support learning, teaching and research.
  • You will report to the facilities director and be part of our team with 10 colleagues

  • Has successful track record of project management in real estate/construction
  • Has relevant university degree
  • Is purposeful and result driven
  • Is perceptive and can communicate with different stakeholders
  • Has the capacity to independently manage projects and is self-going
  • Is driven and gets things accomplished
  • Is structured and organized
  • Fluent in English and Swedish (written and oral)

Meritorious

  • Knowledge/experience of technical installations
  • Knowledge/experience of Health & Safety
  • Experience of leadership
  • Experience in working with higher education
