Group Manager for Academic Support and Records

We are looking for a driven and proactive Group Manager for one of our student administrative units, Academic Support & Records (ASR). You will be joining at an exciting time since ASR is in the middle of a journey of change where you will have the opportunity to make a big impact.

The role 

As Group Manager for ASR, you will be leading a team that currently consists of 10 employees. In your role, you have the budget, staff, and work environment responsibility. You report to the Director of Program Office and are an adjunct member of an administrative management team where you will be admitted as needed. You will also have the role of Deputy Director of Program Office and step into that role based on needs. 

In this role, you are involved in the business school’s work and development together with other managers. A major focus for this role will be on change management based on SSE´s strategy and input from external stakeholders, from the outside in. As the Group Manager for ASR, you work predominantly operationally while having a strategic focus. In this role, you work closely with SSE departments and other Professional Services units to ensure a positive and seamless student and customer experience.

As a person, you are proactive, result-oriented, and driven with the ability to structure and move your processes forward. For you, it comes naturally to be service-minded and collaborative with a flexible mindset. You have the ability to see opportunities and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. We would also like to see that you have an interest in work environment-related issues for students.  

Qualifications 

  • Academic background,
  • A few years of documented experience as a manager and leader with staff- and budget responsibility,
  • Experience from working with work environment,
  • Previous experience from and a great interest in digital ways of working,
  • Experience from change management,
  • Oral and written fluency in English and Swedish. 

Meritorious 

  • Previous experience from working with goals and KPI:s. 

Terms

This is a full-time, permanent position located in Stockholm. A 6 months probationary period will be applied. Preferred starting date as soon as possible with the consideration of any period of notice.

Academic Support & Records

Academic Support & Records is one of the Professional Services units at SSEASR is among other things, responsible for the central examination administration, evaluation of degree requirements, issuing degree certificates, central course administration, study guidance, and student health. The unit works closely with the faculty, departments, student union, and the school´s other Professional Services units.
