As our new Head of Corporate, Development and Alumni Relations, you will work both strategically and hands-on with corporate and alumni engagement. On a strategic level, you will be responsible for developing ways of working and processes as well as driving business improvements. In addition, you will also work to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward individual donors and corporate partners as determined by the needs of the Stockholm School of Economics. The position will report to the Vice President of External Relations and will serve as a member of the leadership team within the department.
The goal of the Corporate, Development and Alumni Relations team is to build relationships and engage corporate partners, alumni and friends in the internationalization and positioning of SSE while raising funds to support the vision of the school.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the implementation of the corporate relations, development and alumni relations strategies, together with the team leaders of each area.
- Lead and manage a high-performing team of five people.
- Ensure the annual corporate and fundraising goals are met.
- Work closely with faculty and professional services staff to ensure the fundraising needs of the organization are addressed.
- Coordinate the development of corporate partnerships and other fundraising initiatives across SSE.
- Manage a portfolio of corporate partners and individual donors.
- Support and organize meetings with the Corporate Advisory Board and the Alumni Advisory Board.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and five - ten years demonstrated ability to successfully solicit donations; or experience in marketing, sales, public relations, financial advisement or related field with emphasis on relationship cultivation and solicitation of individuals/businesses.
- Five – ten years of supervisory experience, including the selection, training, and performance management of staff. Strategic, hardworking, and able to work with a high degree of flexibility in a highly-collaborative, fast-paced, and goal-oriented environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate a strong and compelling case for support (in English).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate the ability to create strong professional relationships with colleagues throughout the School.
- Willingness to travel.

This is a permanent, full-time, position based in the heart of the vibrant capital Stockholm. A 6-month probation period applies. Please include your desired salary in your application.
