About SSE Business Lab

SSE Business Lab is the venture incubation arm of Stockholm School of Economics. Our vision is to strengthen Sweden’s competitiveness by providing a platform for growth to exceptional entrepreneurs, in the likes of Klarna, Budbee and VOI. We do this today by providing office space at the innovation hub A house, coaching from alumni with extensive backgrounds within executive and/or entrepreneurial leadership as well as access to a large network of partners and events.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be working operationally but with a long-term perspective within areas such as building partnerships and establishing strong collaborations with similar organizations. You will also manage and build our Partner Network, as well as bring new initiatives to life such as an Alumni Network and/or the Venture Capital Club.

You always seek creative ideas and innovate to grasp bigger and better opportunities. You foresee what could be best for the organization and understand the importance of partnerships in order for SSE BL to grow and blossom into a wonderful, united and committed association.

We are thus looking for someone who wishes to bring their perspective, share their experience and add their “grain de folie” to our organization, whilst valuing our goals and wanting to help us pick the best partners possible. This position plays a key role since you will be communicating daily with the various department of SSE BL - you should be able to quickly grasp everyone’s needs and hence, lead the uncovering of great potential partnerships whilst keeping those needs in mind.

In this role, you will liaise with the Strategic Partnership & Corporate Relations department at SSE, ensuring that initiatives are in line with SSE strategy.

Skills:

  • Identifying and conceptualizing new collaboration partnership initiatives and high-impact opportunities
  • Cultivating business growth long-term by building lasting win-win relationships with partners
  • Leveraging existing partnerships and identify further areas for collaboration
  • Driving operational management of partnership projects
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once, with excellent time management skills
  • Sharing knowledge internally and collaborate with teams in the incubator to drive strategic outcomes
  • Tracking, analyzing and communicating results metrics and trends as they relate to partners on a quarterly basis
  • Ensuring that partners and opportunities for collaboration tier up to the strategy

Soft skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills (articulate communicator and strong listener) in order to manage multiple external partnerships
  • Embrace the entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to take on new challenges and risks
  • Strong experience in initiating and building strong relationships
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic; ready and willing to put in extra effort in a start-up environment to drive organizational success
  • Has a growth mindset, and an interest in learning continuously.

Qualifications

Although passion, grit and matching values are most important in recruiting for this role, we do appreciate that you are/have:

  • Experience with sales, negotiations or/and building partnership
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial setting
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of people
  • An interest in building new projects with the support of a small, although passionate, team

You will mostly be working with small teams and won’t have strict working hours but your presence and listening skills will be highly regarded and appreciated. Your impact will be valued not only by SSE BL board of directors but mainly by all our entrepreneurs.

In addition to the central location, our landlord A house offers Yoga & Mindfulness sessions for members, lunches cooked in the kitchen by well-established chefs and free breakfasts on Thursdays.

Working Hours: 100%, or upon agreement

Contract type: Project employment of up to 9 months with potential extension.
