Stockholm School of Economics is looking for an Executive Assistant to the President

An important role in an international and exciting environment where you will get the opportunity to develop your competencies and skills. You will assist primarly the President of the Stockholm School of Economics. You will have contact with members of the Board, senior faculty and professional service staff members, alumni, corporate partners, donors and students. You will exercise initiative and independent judgment in managing the President’s schedule and the office’s daily activities. You will coordinate activities with several departments, institutions and administrative units of the business school. 

Your duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Serving as the main point of contact for the President’s Office, 
  • Supporting the President and other Executive Management Team Members, 
  • Facilitating the efficient utilization of the President's time through development and coordination of a complex calendar of appointments, meetings, engagements, SSE and community functions with individuals and groups, 
  • Collaborating with the SSE Info Center, the main support center for students and visitors, 
  • Coordinating the flow of incoming and outgoing communications by receiving, routing, and/or responding to incoming communications and determining the appropriate department or unit for outgoing communications, 
  • Facilitating efficient and cost-effective travel for the President by making travel arrangements, planning and executing events arranged by the President, 
  • Processing all expenses and invoices related to the activities of the President’s Office, and  
  • Contributing to the overall success of SSE by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Your profile 

You are likely to be described as a service-minded organizer with strong collaborative and communications skills. You enjoy working in a high-tempo environment, both independently and together with others, and you can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You are proactive, have strong problem-solving skills and an eye for details. When needed, you are decisive and action -oriented.  You are warm, open and enjoy interacting with people.  

Requirements: 

  • At least five years of increasingly responsible administrative experience. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and under stressful situations. 
  • Proactive, flexible with sound judgment. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in English and Swedish. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.  
  • Organized and detail orientated.  
  • This position may involve work outside of ordinary hours. 

Meritorious:

  • Experience from working in an international environment where English is the primarily language.  

About the position 

As an Executive Assistant at Stockholm school of Economics, you will be a team member within the Program Office. The Program Office is one of the largest professional services units at SSE and consists of 27 colleagues who are responsible for admissions, exchange, program management, and quality assurance. 

Other
