The role

As our new SSE Development Project Manager, your key focus is to develop and execute various development (fundraising) activities, such as the Annual Fund Campaign, Class Reunion Programs, and other regular giving programs both in Sweden and internationally. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  •  Develop and execute a dynamic and detailed strategic plan for the Annual Giving program, setting goals based on historical analysis of donor and prospect base and school needs.
  • Implement the Annual Fund campaign and raise at least 1 million SEK unrestricted support from alumni and friends.
  • Establish and manage peer-to-peer solicitations segmented by targeted constituency and fundraising strategy, such as Class Reunion programs.
  • Assist the Development team with prospect management and fundraising proposals.
  • Work with Stewardship Coordinator to create stewardship plans for annual donors.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to create print, electronic, and social media outreach strategies and branding for the Annual Fund Campaign.
  • Coordinate with alumni networks in Sweden, UK and USA to implement fundraising campaigns.

 

Your profile

You are likely to be described as detail-oriented and structured, who is persistent and stays on a project until results have been reached. You have previous experience in development and know what it takes to attract potential donors. You are able to work under pressure, have exceptional organizational and communications skills and enjoy working independently as well as in a team.

Requirements:

  • Previous fundraising experience, specifically a familiarity with the objectives of annual fund raising.
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases.
  • Project management experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Swedish.
  • An academic degree.

Meritorious:

  • Experience from an academic setting.

As our new SSE Development Project Manager, you will be a part of SSE's largest unit, External Relations, which is composed of five teams. You will be a part of a high-performing team within External Relations: the Corporate, Development and Alumni Relations (CDA). The CDA team within External Relations supports the School’s strategic objectives by building and maintaining mutually beneficial and productive relationships with its corporate partners, alumni and friends.
