Center Coordinator to the Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets at SSE

Misum

Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets (MISUM) is an interdisciplinary research center at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), focused on sustainable markets. We are now looking for a Center Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized and service-oriented individual to contribute to our research center’s success by ensuring smooth administrative processes and operational efficiency.

 

About the Position

As an Center Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting MISUM’s operations, finances, and event coordination. You will work closely with the Misum head quarter team which consist of the Stakeholder Engagment Manager, the Research Communication Coordinator as well as the Executive Director. You will also work with other internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient administration. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic academic environment and has a proactive and structured approach to administrative tasks.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Financial administration

  • Manage invoices and expenses using Rillion, including coding, attestation, and tracking.
  • Review and process expense claims and manual expenses.
  • Coordinate invoices and requisitions with the finance department.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual finance reports for board meetings and funders.

Event Coordination

  • Organize MISUM Board meetings, including room booking, catering, communications, travel arrangements, agenda preparation, minute-taking, and scheduling.
  • Take minutes or summarize discussions at internal meetings as required.
  • Arrange internal meetings for MISUM and the Management Team, including room bookings, catering, and invitations.
  • Support staff and Management Team in planning events (email invitations, travel coordination, signage, catering, etc.).

Administrative Support

  • Assist in onboarding new staff and visitors (keys, access cards, desk arrangements, travel bookings, etc.).
  • Provide general administrative support, including room bookings and form submissions.
  • Order books, stationery, furniture, and office supplies.
  • Organize records of board meetings, agreements, and contracts.
  • Manage and respond to email and phone inquiries.
  • Compile and draft reports.
  • Edit reports, communications, and content for the website as needed.

 

Your Profile

You are an organized and service-minded professional with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You thrive in a high-paced academic setting and are comfortable handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously. You are a good collaborator and like working in professional service teams. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and structured, with a strong ability to collaborate across different teams.

Requirements:

  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably within higher education or research environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with a structured approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially excel) and other relevant systems.

Meritorious:

  • Experience in an academic or research environment.
  • Swedish language proficiency.
  • Familiarity with financial and administrative systems.

 

Other Information

This is a part-time position on a fixed-term contract, starting in May 2025 and ending in December 2025. There will be an ongoing selection, so don’t wait to submit your application. Background checks will be conducted on final candidates.
