Communications Officer SSE Art Initiative

The role

As the Art Initiative Communication Officer, you will be the main link between the school’s External Relations Department and the SSE Art Initiative, facilitating the integration of the SSE Art Initiative activities with the school’s overall engagement strategy. Your work responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Communications. Content production relating to SSE Art Initiative. Coordination of communications in social media and web presence.
  • Coordination. Internal coordination relating to fundraising and donor relations conducted by SSE Art Initiative. Establishment of internal processes regarding outreach activities relating to the arts and humanities.
  • Events. Planning and execution of events within the SSE Art Initiative in cooperation with the SSE Art Initiative Director and external co-organizers. Responsibility for event-related communications.
  • Budget responsibility. Responsible for the SSE Art Initiative communication budget.
  • Artwork curatorial maintenance.

 

Your profile

You are interested in learning new things and developing ways of working. You can easily adapt to changing circumstances, are good at finding innovative approaches to work-related questions and are persistent. You are service-minded, work well with other people but can also independently structure your approach and drive processes forward.

Required:

  • An academic degree
  • Expertise in communications
  • Experience from working with planning and execution of events
  • Experience from an international context
  • Strong oral and written skills in English and Swedish

Meritorious:

  • Working experience from the arts world
  • Experience of managing cultural and curating arts-related activities

About your new workplace

As the Communications Officer, you will be a part of the school’s outreach unit External Relations. In addition to having the whole unit as your primary network, you will be a part of a high-performance team called Communications and Marketing. You report to the Head of Marketing & Communications and in matrix to the Director of the SSE Art Initiative.

Other

This is a fixed term employment for one year with the aim to establishing a permanent employment. The employment is full time but can be discussed (75% would be possible). Please include your desired salary in your application.

Your new workplace is located in the heart of the vibrant Swedish capital Stockholm, which you can easily access by subway, commuter trains, buses, bicycle, and electric scooters. Let's just say it's not only the work tasks that make it easy to go to work in the morning!
