About the role

As our Corporate and Alumni Relations Manager, you will use your exceptional creative, social and organizational skills to establish and develop relationships with corporate partners and alumni in order to secure their support in the curricular and extra-curricular activities of the program. You will be working in a tight team of three colleagues and closely together with the Program Director and be responsible for a wide range of business contacts.

  • Manage and foster the corporate and alumni connections through constant networking,
  • Proactively engage new corporate partners,
  • Drive and secure the corporate and alumni involvement in the program,
  • Support the SSE CEMS club and alumni club with contacts and event ideas,
  • Participate in and arrange corporate social events,
  • Participate in and contribute to the CEMS corporate relations community, including annual meetings and career events,
  • Support MIB placement activities in collaboration with Career Services,
  • Develop and execute plans for MIB and CEMS alumni engagement with regard to placement and ranking surveys,
  • Oversee the on-the-day event operations, working with team members and a variety of departments and external suppliers to ensure the smooth running of events.

You will be collaborating with and developing an international network. Therefore, it is important that you have a great interest in the world and enjoy travelling to other countries.

Qualifications

  • A few years of work experience from similar work duties,
  • Experience in leading and managing your own projects,
  • Experience from networking,
  • An interest in and understanding of higher education,
  • Able, and willing to travel,
  • You should be able to update web pages and have good computer skills, chiefly with Office programs,
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English and Swedish and comfortable speaking before large audiences in both languages.

Meritorious

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a higher-education environment,
  • Previous experience from having lived abroad,
  • Academic education,
  • Any additional language is an advantage.

Are likely to be described as a creative, relationship-oriented organizer with strong collaborative skills. You are a self-starter and enjoy working in an international and high-tempo environment. You have a ton of ideas and are eager to share them with others. You are flexible, and when needed, can make fast decisions and act on them. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are confident in dealing with senior members of staff, corporate partners, and other stakeholders.

  • Start: As soon as possible, August

  • Work extent: This is a full-time, permanent position located in Stockholm. A 6 months probationary period applies. The preferred starting date is August 16, 2021.
