Program Manager for the MSc in International Business

Education Office

The Education Office (EdO) is one of the Professional Services units at SSE. We are currently about 58 staff members working in EdO. We function as a hub in the SSE journey. We provide and develop professional academic support for all stakeholders and students (BSc, MSc, PhD) during their SSE journey. It includes assessment, program management, scholarships, international collaborations, and quality measurements, academic support, central course and exam coordination, degrees, and certificates.

The role

As the Program Manager (PM), you will have a key role in coordinating, organizing, and assisting in the development and day-to-day operations of the program. MSc in International Business is a ranked program, the PM for this program needs to be aware of how the Financial Times ranking works and how the PM contributes to a continued success. You will belong to a team of Admissions & Program Management at EdO, reporting to the Group Manager, and will work closely together with the Program Director.

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Planning and participating actively in the selection and admission process.  
  • Being responsible for organizing and running the MIB Assessment Center. 
  • Organizing the Introduction Days of the MIB program.  
  • Having close contact with the students of the program, both newly admitted and current.  
  • Being responsible for the practical aspects of international trips. Travelling with the group for the International Immersion Trip and handling expenses and transactions. 
  • Being responsible for approving and registering all MIB International Internships. 
  • Being responsible for running the MIB scheduling process in preparation for each semester.
  • Collaborate with the Strategic and Academic Governance team and provide the necessary information for the FT ranking process each year.
  • Developing the alumni network and relationships.
  • Organizing events like the MIB Faculty Workshop and CEMS Integration Seminar etc. (approximately 4-6 events per year).
  • Participating in the recruitment activities for the program and SSE. Occasional travelling for recruitment can occur.

International experience is a valuable asset, reflecting the global nature of our student body and faculty. You are confident working with digital tools, including updating web pages and using systems such as MS Office 365 and CRM platforms. An interest in generative AI is a plus, as we continue to explore innovative ways of working.

Qualifications

  • An academic education
  • A few years of work experience with similar work duties
  • An understanding of and interest in higher education
  • Experience in networking
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written

Meritorious

  • Event planning experience
  • Experience in higher education administration or program management

Other

This is a full-time permanent position, and a 6-month probationary period applies. The position is based in central Stockholm. Work outside regular working hours will occur.
